This concept design proposes a high-quality luxury apartment development located on the edge of the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone, carefully positioned between the emerging urban framework and an expansive rural landscape. The architectural form is articulated as a series of layered residential blocks arranged around a generous central courtyard. The massing is deliberately broken down into smaller, legible elements to reduce perceived scale and to create a more human, domestic character. Setbacks, recesses and articulated corners introduce rhythm and variation across the façades, while also maximising daylight penetration and views through the scheme.
A robust yet refined material palette underpins the architectural expression. Light-toned masonry forms the primary fabric of the buildings, providing a sense of permanence and solidity appropriate to the scale of the development. This is complemented by warmer accent materials and finely detailed balcony structures, which introduce texture, depth and visual softness. The careful layering of materials reinforces the horizontal articulation of the buildings and enhances their relationship with the landscaped setting.
